How do I report a mistake?
Send the page address and a short description of the error through the contact form. A source helps, such as a lender, agency or program page that shows the correct figure or rule.
What happens after a report?
The Mortgage Bargains Editorial Team checks the claim against primary sources, such as government agency and program pages. If the page is wrong, we fix the text. We do not remove a page to hide an error.
Do corrections get noted?
When a change affects what a reader would do, such as a limit, eligibility rule or fee, we update the page and refresh its date. Minor typo fixes are made quietly.
What about broker listings?
If your business details are wrong, or you want a listing removed, use the same form and give the listing address. Listings are compiled from public information and are not endorsements.
Why can details still be out of date?
Rates, limits and program rules change often. Treat any figure on this site as a starting point and confirm it with the lender or agency. See the disclaimer.
